Enter a world of color and creativity on the streets of downtown Houstonwhen The Center for Hearing and Speech (CHS) celebrates its third annualVia Coloriâ, a Street Painting Festival, November 22-23, 2008.
The festival will showcase more than 175 artists who will create original masterpieces on the street in a pastel medium. From creation to completion, festival-goers will be able to watch as artists turn asphalt into art. Food, beverages, entertainment and children’s activities will round out this spectacular fall weekend in Sam Houston Park and the surrounding streets of Bagby and Allen Parkway.

CHS also invites you to participate in the festival. There are a number of ways for the community to become involved. Volunteers are needed before and during the festival. Or, if you would like to leave your own personal mark on the event, individual squares are available for purchase ($500 - $1,500) so you can release the Michelangelo within. If you have any questions or would like to participate in the festival, please contact CHS at (713)523-3633.

Via Colori® Scottsdale is Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, 2008in The Art District. It is free to attend and opens at 10:00 AM on each day. On Saturday, it closes with a street party that runs until 10:00 PM. On Sunday, it closes at 5:00 PM.

The City of Santa Clarita is holding its 4th Annual free outdoor Street Art Festival on September 27 & 28, 2008 located in Old Town Newhall on Main Street. Stroll Main Street for live entertainment; watch the fine art of street painting, experience the beauty of international dance, listen to the rhythmic sounds of our featured musicians, and browse the Fine Art and Craft vendors for unique wares.
The City of Santa Clarita Street Art Festival

On September 27 and 28, 2008, the Santa Clarita Street Art Festival, sponsored by Lockheed Federal Credit Union, will highlight a spectrum of artistic talent in Old Town Newhall. This exciting two-day festival will be located along Main Street between Lyons Avenue and 5th Street. The Street Art Festival is a free outdoor event, open to the public, and features live entertainment: local and international dance performances, live music, fine arts and crafts vendors, hands-on art activities, and the fine art of street painting.
The highlight of the festival is the Street Painter Block, sponsored by Glen Ivy Day Spa, where you can watch the unique process and display of featured and guest street painters on Main Street. All weekend long, watch street painters create a work of art, from a beginning outline to the final masterpiece.

The largest Urban Art Festival in the Southern Hemisphere will be held 4 - 7 September in Tumbalong Park and The Chinese Gardens in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

You're invited to come to Holland and be a part of the launch of our brand new and the very 1st edition of the ISPF Valkenburg- an International Street Painting Festival. The 'Colours of Valkenburg' festival will be held in the beautiful and historic innercity of Valkenburg aan de Geul. The dates are August 23 & 24. And a perfect venue for those of you who will be attending the Grazie festival in Italy on August 14&15.
We would to invite at least 20 talented international streetpainters from all walks of life to be part of our festival and creatively celebrate it's first edition with amazing pavament works of art! If you are interested in participating and want to know more about the Valkenburg festival and what it has to offer you, please contact Peter Westerink at info@ispf.nl.

The Street Painting Competition has a long history. For the 750th anniversary of the city in the year 1979 it was accomplished for the first time. Which began at that time with approximately 60 street painters, meanwhile, the largest meeting of its kind world-wide developed. Annually to the end of summer holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia approximately 500 - 600 road painters from all world around the city center into a large open air gallery to transform the streets. On Saturday evening a music festival takes place and in the Sunday evening the winner honour on the Gelderner market place. Since the pictures with a special adjustment are sealed, has funds for some weeks the only road painter museum of the world, where the art may be stepped formally with feet.
